Business Delegation from Saxony State of Germany Visits Sri City

Sri City, November 11, 2025: An 18-member business delegation from the German Federal State of Saxony, led by Mr. Dirk Panter, Hon’ble Minister for Economic Affairs, Labour, Energy and Climate Action, visited Sri City. The team was warmly received by Mr. Srini Raju, Chairman, and Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Managing Director of Sri City.

Briefing the delegates, Dr. Sannareddy showcased Sri City’s world-class industrial infrastructure, diverse sectoral ecosystem, and strategic advantages for global manufacturers. He noted that Sri City has emerged as one of India’s premier investment destinations, hosting over 240 leading brands from 31 countries, including German companies such as Bell Flavors & Fragrances, Knauf, and Kankyo Bert.

Responding to queries, he highlighted Government of India’s incentives like tax exemptions, subsidies, and production-linked incentives (PLI) schemes, Andhra Pradesh’s investor-friendly initiatives, including sector-specific incentives, fast-track approvals through the ‘cost of doing business and speed of doing business’ policy, and robust skill development programmes. He encouraged companies from Saxony to leverage Sri City’s conducive business environment and expand their presence in India.

Mr. Panter commended Sri City’s well-planned layout, modern infrastructure, and investor-friendly policies, acknowledging the management’s pivotal role in shaping a globally competitive industrial hub. “Sri City’s accomplishments over the past 17 years are a prime example of what can be achieved with a clear strategy and dedication. I sincerely hope we can further strengthen the ties between India and Germany, especially between Saxony and Sri City,” he remarked.

The delegation engaged in discussions focused on business setup opportunities, investment potential, and the strategic advantages of Sri City’s integrated industrial ecosystem. The team toured key facilities within Sri City, visited the production plant of Bell Flavors & Fragrances, and interacted with the on-ground teams.

The visit strengthens Sri City’s position as a leading destination for global investors and supports growing business ties between India and Germany. Organised by Wirtschaftsförderung Sachsen GmbH, it also explored partnerships in textile & garments, metals products, medical equipment manufacturing, skill development and the introduction of German-style dual vocational training programmes.
