Sri City, September 6, 2025: A 19-member delegation from The Chennai Angels (TCA), led by Mr. K. Mahalingam, visited Sri City on Friday as part of a two-day programme. Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director of Sri City, extended a warm welcome and presented an overview of the integrated business hub’s world-class infrastructure, sustainability initiatives, and business-friendly ecosystem.
Commenting on the significance of the visit, Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy said, “The Chennai Angels delegation brings with it immense business acumen, experience, and networks that can greatly contribute to nurturing startups and accelerating their growth. Their perspectives will help us refine Sri City’s strategic roadmap for the future.”
As part of the programme, the delegation had a special interaction with Dr. T.H. Chowdary, a Padma Shree awardee and a distinguished technocrat and pioneer of India’s telecom revolution, who was also on a visit to Sri City. Dr. Sannareddy introduced Dr. Chowdary to the delegation and initiated an interactive session.
Sharing his experiences as the former founding Chairman and Managing Director of Videsh Sanchar Nigam Limited, Dr. Chowdary spoke about the evolution of India’s telecom policy and its far-reaching impact. He also outlined his vision of making Bharat a Viswaguru, stressing the importance of aligning technological advancement with cultural values to position India as a respected global leader. The delegates described the interaction as an inspiring and rare opportunity.
The programme gave the TCA delegation profound insights into Sri City’s operations, investment potential, and business opportunities. Members interacted with officials and toured manufacturing facilities of leading companies such as Daikin, Isuzu, Colgate, Epack, and Evervolt/CETC. On the second day, the schedule included visits to various zones within Sri City, along with excursions to the Satish Dhawan Space Centre and the Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary.
