Sri City, March 20, 2024:- His Excellency Mr. Didier Vanderhasselt, the Ambassador of Belgium to India, visited Sri City today. Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director of Sri City, received the Ambassador and showcased the world-class infrastructure, unique features, and rapid development of the business park.
“Sri City’s strong infrastructure, pro-business approach, and fast-paced growth continue to attract global investors across various sectors,” said Dr. Sannareddy. He highlighted Sri City’s position as a leading manufacturing hub in India, home to over 220 renowned brands from 29 countries, including Belgium’s Vermeiren.
Impressed by the scale and infrastructure of Sri City, Ambassador Vanderhasselt inquired about various aspects such as the availability of skilled manpower and government incentives. He expressed admiration for Sri City’s well-established ecosystem, noting its suitability for medium and small businesses. He mentioned plans to introduce Sri City to Belgian companies interested in investing in India.
In response, Dr. Sannareddy said that Sri City has already built country-specific clusters and added that a Belgian industrial cluster could be created if a sizeable number of enterprises show interest.
The Ambassador toured the industrial park, visiting Vermeiren India Rehab Private Limited, a Belgian manufacturer of rehabilitation care equipment. Mr. Patrick Vermeiren, Chairman & CEO of Vermeiren Group, and Mr. Syed Riaz Qadri, Managing Director, welcomed the Ambassador. Following a tour of the production facility, Ambassador Vanderhasselt laid the foundation stone for the company’s fourth phase expansion.
The visit underscored Sri City’s position as a preferred investment destination, fostering collaboration and economic growth between Belgium and India. Mr. Jayant Nadiger, Trade and Investment Commissioner of Flanders Region of Belgium was also present along with the Ambassador.
