Sri City, March 7, 2019:- The 21st meeting of State Level Committee (SLC) of AP State Industries Department, presided over by Mr. Siddharth Jain, IAS., Commissioner of Industries, was held in Sri City on Wednesday. On their arrival, Mr. Siddharth Jain and other senior officials were given warm welcome by Mr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City. The state-level committee mulled over the issues related to general incentives and cases pending before district-level committees. It discussed and reviewed the status of the pending reimbursement applications.
Subsequently, in an interactive meeting with the senior managers of the industrial units, Mr. Siddharth Jain heard all the issues raised by the companies, encompassing reimbursement of fiscal incentives, and assured that all such cases will be settled at the earliest. Briefing about the objectives of the AP government’s novel scheme ‘Mukhyamantri Yuvanestham’, he said that the scheme aims to fulfil the ambitions of the youth, bring convergence including skill development, self-employment and apprenticeship for youth empowerment. He appealed all the industrial units to help the youth in training and placements.
Welcoming the Industries Commissioner and other officials, Mr. Ravindra Sannareddy thanked them for preferring Sri City as the venue for the SLC meeting. Reminiscing Sri City’s long association with Mr. Siddharth Jain, he said, “During your tenure as Collector of Chittoor district, you gave us a lot of encouragement and support in developing Sri City, for which we remain indebted to you. On behalf of all our customers, we convey our sincere thanks for sparing your valuable time in reviewing the status and assuring redressal for the issues raised by the stakeholders.”
Responding to the call given by the Commissioner of Industries, Mr. Ravindra Sannareddy stated that within a weeks time all the units of Sri City will register in the Yuvanestham portal.
Mr. Anilkumar Reddy, Joint Director, District Industries Centre coordinated the conduct of meeting. Besides Mr. I.L. Ram, Zonal Manager, APIIC, Tirupati, a host of senior officials and invitees, including Mr. Omkar Reddy, Joint commissioner, Commercial Taxes, Mr. Vijaya Ratnam, Joint Director, Industries, General Managers of District Industrial Centres, Mr. Damodar, Director, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), and Mr. APK Reddy, President, Federation of Andhra Pradesh Small Industries Association (FAPSIA) were present in the meeting.
