AP MSME Minister Visits Sri City

Sri City, April 23, 2025: Mr. Kondapalli Srinivas, Hon’ble Minister for MSME, SERP, NRI Relations & Empowerment, Government of Andhra Pradesh, visited Sri City on Wednesday. He was received by Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, who presented an overview of Sri City’s world-class infrastructure and rapid growth. Dr. Sannareddy pointed out that a significant share of industries in Sri City are MSMEs, contributing meaningfully to job creation, innovation, and supply chain strength. Their growing presence alongside global firms, he said, creates a balanced, inclusive manufacturing ecosystem. The Minister was also shown a wide range of products made in Sri City, including electronics, automotive parts, engineering goods, FMCG, and food items.

Groundbreaking of Gupta Oxygen

The Minister participated in the groundbreaking of Gupta Oxygen Pvt. Ltd.’s ₹40 crore MSME facility. Mr. Anand Gupta, MD & CEO, welcomed him and Dr. Sannareddy. The Minister hailed the initiative as a step towards green industrial growth. Dr. Sannareddy said the company would further enrich Sri City’s symbiotic industrial ecosystem.

Scheduled for commissioning in October 2025, the facility will generate over 50 direct jobs and manufacture refrigerant and industrial gases under the ‘DewGas’ brand, catering to sectors like HVAC, automotive, and industry. Its client list includes Godrej, Bluestar, Whirlpool, and Indian Railways.

The Minister also toured the campus, praising its clean and green environment and sectoral diversity. A notable stop was Everton Tea, an MSME unit employing over 90% local rural women. He lauded it as a model for women’s empowerment and inclusive growth.

Interaction with Industry Fraternity

The Minister later interacted with CXOs of various units. Welcoming the Minister, Dr. Sannareddy called the visit a privilege, affirming the government’s vital role in driving investment and regional growth. He encouraged industry leaders to actively engage with the Minister.

Impressed by Sri City’s transformation into a thriving industrial hub, the Minister lauded its infrastructure, scale, and employment generation, calling it a model for planned development. He commended Dr. Sannareddy for creating a truly investor-friendly ecosystem.

Reaffirming the government’s vision under CM N. Chandrababu Naidu, he said the new Industrial Policy aims for a Vikasit Andhra Pradesh by 2047, with focus on balanced growth, startup support, skill development, and faster project execution. He assured strong support for logistics infrastructure and prompt resolution of industry issues.

Emphasising large-scale MSME promotion, he urged the industry to initiate vendor and skill development programmes, and invited suggestions to make Andhra Pradesh a leading industrial state.

Participants engaged actively with the Minister, sharing their views and seeking clarifications on various matters. One key suggestion was the establishment of an MSME park nearby to accommodate activities not permitted within Sri City due to its status as a green industrial zone.

Dr. Sannareddy thanked the Minister for his visit and expressed confidence that such engagements would further boost Andhra Pradesh’s industrial momentum.

The Minister met Mr. APK Reddy, President, Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises of India (FSME India) and the representatives of Tirupati Chamber of Commerce, The Minister was accompanied by Satyavedu MLA Mr. K. Adimulam, Principal Technical Advisor Dr. M. Srinivasa Shankara Prasad, Executive Vice-Chairman of Global Forum for Sustainable Transformation Dr. Ramnath Velamati, CEO MSME Corporation Mr. Viswa Manoharan, and senior officials, and other dignitaries.

The visit reaffirmed the State Government’s strong commitment to MSME empowerment and sustainable, inclusive industrial development.
