Sri City, April 27, 2022: Dr. Andrew Fleming, British Deputy High Commissioner (BDHC) , Andhra Pradesh and Telangana paid a visited Sri City on Wednesday. Mr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City extended a warm welcome, and briefed them on the infrastructure, unique features such as sustainability, green efforts, etc., and the brisk pace of development in Sri City. The BDHC was accompanied by Mr. Sujith Thomas, Head of Engineering Manufacturing, Dept. for International Trade, British Deputy High Commission, Chennai.
Stating that it was his second visit to Sri City the British Deputy High Commissioner said that it was one of the most fulfilling experiences to visit Sri City after a gap of two and half years, and witness the progressive development. He expressed his satisfaction at the first class infrastructure being provided to the UK companies and told,”Sri City provides a fantastic ecosystem for British companies to do business, and I am confident that many more from different sectors would show interest in Sri City. I am also impressed specifically by policies on climate change in general.”
Commenting on the visit, Mr. Ravindra Sannareddy said,“We feel honoured for the attention paid by Dr. Andrew Fleming on the expansion of the business city. We are confident that his observations, which are very encouraging, would pave way for more business investments here from UK,” he added.
Later, Dr. Andrew Fleming went round the industrial park and visited Rotolok India and Bergen Pipe Supports India companies and formally launched their new products. At Rotolok India, a subsidiary company of the UK-based Rotolok Holdings Ltd, which manufactures comprehensive range of valve and diverter products for powder processing and bulk material handling, the Deputy High Commissioner launched their new product – ‘Easy Clean Rotary Valve’. At Bergen Pipe Supports India (BPSI), a 100% subsidiary of Hill & Smith Holdings PLC of UK, which makes and supplies Pipe Supports for critical applications in LNG and Power sector, the Deputy High Commissioner inaugurated the Extrusion plant and precision tooling that produce Comlin Isolation products, a family of elastomeric materials.
The Deputy High Commissioner had an interactive meeting with the CEOs of the Sri City based UK Companies.
