Sri City, April 4, 2024: Sri City, the integrated business city today hosted a visit by Swami Mitrananda, a distinguished disciple of Swami Chinmayananda and a revered spiritual mentor from Chinmaya Mission Chennai. Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director of Sri City, extended a warm welcome to Swami Mitrananda and briefed him on the city’s unique features, its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR), and its positive impact on the region’s development. He highlighted Sri City’s collaborative efforts with other industrial units to create jobs, improve education and medical infrastructure, and elevate the standard of living in the region.
Swami Mitrananda, reminiscing about his previous visit ten years ago, commended the city’s rapid progress and its role in transforming the lives of the local people. He later interacted with CXOs and other members of the Sri City community. In his address, Swami Mitrananda emphasised the importance of self-reflection, contentment, and happiness as key ingredients for success. He urged everyone to find fulfillments in their achievements and work with a grateful heart. Quoting from the Bhagavad Gita, Swami ji encouraged the audience to strive for success in their endeavours. “Thoughts manifest into actions, and by cultivating gratitude and working diligently, one can achieve remarkable results,” he reminded.
Swamiji felt that Sri City has emerged as an abode for both ‘Lakshmi and Narayana’, citing thriving business activity and the active spiritual and literary pursuit through ‘Srivani’ forum.
As evident from the feedback, the audience felt Swami Mitrananda’s visit serves as a beacon of inspiration for their ongoing endeavours.
Swami Mitrananda attended the groundbreaking ceremony for an additional building at Chinmaya Vidyalaya during his tour. The 2011-founded Chinmaya Vidyala has over 1000 students and 100% public exam success rates. Students are also excelling in extracurricular pursuits including athletics. Chinmaya Mission trustee Mr. O.V. Nambiar, Education Director Mr. Satyamurthy, and correspondents Mrs. Uma Kalyanam and Mrs. Gita Menon accompanied Swamiji.
