Sri City, May 8, 2019: – A 12 member delegation from the Tamil Chamber of Commerce (TCC), Chennai, led by its President Mr. Chozha Naachiar Rajasekar visited Sri City on Wednesday. Mr. Ramesh Subramaniam, President, Sri City Foundation extended a warm welcome, and briefed them on the existing world-class infrastructure, unique features, business opportunities, government incentives, and factors that speak of the ‘ease of doing business’ in Sri City. He explained about the multiple options available, such as Developed plots, Ready Built Factories, custom built units suiting specific needs of small and medium enterprises.
Appreciating the initiatives taken by the Sri City management in developing such a mega industrial park, Mr. Rajasekar said, “We are all enthralled with the world-class infrastructure and business friendly atmosphere at Sri City.”
The visiting dignitaries represent a wide spectrum of industries and business firms. The intent of their visit was to witness and gain first hand knowledge about Sri City, assess its business potential and explore the possibility of setting up their units. They all interacted with Sri City officials and got clarified their doubts on different aspects.
Following the briefing session, the visitors went round the campus and had a close glimpse of the works at the production units of Kobelco and Alstom.
TCC membership fraternity covers the whole of Tamil Nadu and also outside with a representative character comprising various industries and trades. To encourage craftsmanship and commerce education; the Chamber has instituted annual awards. TCC organises business visits, conferences and seminars periodically and also invites prominent persons in the commercial and industrial field as well as officials from the Government to address its members.
