Sri City, January 4, 2020: Mr. J.V.N. Subramanyam, IAS, Director of Industries,Commerce & Export Promotion, Andhra Pradesh visited Sri City on Saturday. Mr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City extended a warm welcome. Mr. Ramesh Subramaniam, President, Sri City Foundation briefed on the progress and status of the industrial park. The Director of Industries quizzed on different aspects of Sri City.
Subsequently, in an interactive meeting with the senior managers of the industrial units the Director presented the general industrial policy of the government and incentives being offered, etc., Briefing about the objectives of the AP government’s new law, he said that 75% jobs across all categories in private industries and factories are reserved for locals. If locals with necessary skills are not available, then the companies would have to train them in association with the state government and then hire them, he added. He appealed all the industrial units to help the youth in training and placements. He heard all the issues raised by the companies, encompassing reimbursement of fiscal incentives, and assured that all such cases will be settled at the earliest.
Commenting on the visit Mr. Ravindra Sannareddy said,”Industries Director’s visit is very important for us, and his observations and suggestions will be very useful for Sri City’s growth.”
The Industries Director went round the industrial zone and visited the production units of Isuzu, Foxconn and Alstom. Mr. Vijaya Ratnam, Joint Director, Industries, Vijayawada and Mr. E. Pratap, Joint Director, Industries were present.
