Sri City, January 7, 2023: Accord School, Sri City celebrated its first Anniversary on Friday evening. Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder and Managing Director of Sri City was the Chief Guest, and the other distinguished guests included Dr. R. Venkataraman, Associate Director, SDSC, SHAR, Dr. Ganesan Kannabiran, Director, IIIT-Sricity and Dr. Sultan Ismail, Member, State Planning Commission, Tamil Nadu. Addressing the gathering, Dr Ravindra Sannareddy appreciated the Accord School management for setting up a modern school in a rural setting, where fresh air, water and playground are available in plenty. Stating that, besides being a world-class industrial City, Sri City has emerged as a hub for education with the presence of IIIT, Kreaya University and a few skill development centres, he said, “After your schooling, you have a variety of opportunities to pursue higher education in your region itself.” He expressed a desire to have an International Accord School in Sri City.
Dr. R. Venkataraman, Associate Director, SDSC, SHAR gave a motivational talk and asked the students to focus on building skills and emulate the leadership qualities of some of the eminent scholars in society such as Prof. Satish Dhawan and Dr. A.P.J. Kalam. Dr. Sultan Ismail and Dr. Ganesan Kannabiran delivered inspirational talks. Mr. V. Chandrasekhar Reddy, Chairman, Mr. V. Prashanth and Mr. V. Vivek, Directors of the school narrated their experiences in constructing the school and conveyed their sincere thanks to Sri City management for extending all support and guidance during the course of setting up the school.
The Chief Guest and the other dignitaries were felicitated and presented their portraits drawn by T. Priya, student of Grade 9. The theme for this year’s celebration was ‘Varna Utsav’, a festival of colours highlighting the significance of colours in human life. The resplendent colours splashed the dais with its own set of art forms, dance and theatre bringing out the best of the talents in our students. The first anniversary will be cherished by every Accordian throughout all the coming years.
Accord School, a co-educational day boarding school in Sri City, offers the ‘play way’ method of learning for Preschool and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) syllabus for higher classes. The school provides lunch and snacks to the students. It runs school buses for picking up/dropping the children from different areas covering a 20 km radius. The campus has a tennis court, a basketball court and a large playground.
