Taiwan Non-Woven Fabrics Industry Delegation Explores Investment Opportunities in Sri City

Sri City, March 31, 2026: A five-member business delegation from Taiwan, led by Ms. Shelly Chien, Chairman of the Taiwan Non-woven Fabrics Industry Association (TNFIA), visited Sri City on Tuesday to explore potential investment avenues. TNFIA is a leading trade body representing more than 130 member companies across the non-woven fabrics sector. The delegation was received by Mr. Satish Kamat, President (Operations), Sri City.

Welcoming the visitors, Mr. Bodgan George, Assistant Vice President (Business Development), delivered a comprehensive presentation highlighting Sri City’s advantages as a preferred industrial destination. He underscored its strategic location, diversified industrial base, robust social infrastructure, and integrated ecosystem supported by progressive policies of both the state and central governments. He also noted the expanding presence of Taiwanese enterprises at Sri City, citing Rechi Precision Co., Ltd., a joint venture with Daikin Industries, which manufactures compressors within the park.

Commenting on the visit, Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Managing Director of Sri City, stated, “We consider the visit of the Taiwanese business delegation highly significant. I am confident it will further strengthen economic engagement and business cooperation between Sri City and Taiwan.”

Expressing appreciation for Sri City’s planned development and the state’s proactive approach, Ms. Shelly Chien said that they are all delighted to visit Sri City and are impressed by the comprehensive planning that has shaped this remarkable industrial ecosystem. “We believe Sri City is a very promising place for our industry. We are definitely considering Sri City as a place for setting up our factories here. We will also promote Sri City to others who are unable to attend today,” Ms. Shelly Chien remarked.

During the visit, the delegation held interactive discussions with the Sri City leadership team, exchanging views on investment prospects, infrastructure expansion, and collaborative opportunities. The programme concluded with a guided tour of the integrated business city, offering first-hand exposure to its world-class infrastructure and industry-ready environment.

The delegation comprised association leaders, manufacturers, supply chain representatives, and industry executives, representing the broader non-woven fabrics ecosystem spanning Taiwan, China, and Vietnam, with applications across footwear, automotive, healthcare, and industrial sectors. The delegation was accompanied by representatives from Invest India and the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board.
