Sri City, April 25, 2023:- Mr. G. Kishan Reddy, the hon’ble Union Minister of Tourism, Culture and Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) visited Sri City on Tuesday. On the arrival of the minister, Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City accorded a warm welcome. He briefed the minister on the unique features of the integrated business city and its performance, employment generated, and highlighted the clean & green initiatives.
The minister had an interactive meeting with the CXOs of the major industrial units. Addressing the gathering Mr. Kishan Reddy said,”I am happy to meet you all. Government of India has been investing on a priority basis to setup excellent logistic infrastructure in the country, and I am amazed to see an excellently planed industrial hub equipped with excellent infrastructure and investor friendly ambience here. Sri City, that emerged as one of the top ten investment destinations in the country, represents ‘New India’ that offers reliable services, backed by sound policies, which are aimed for enhancing ‘ease of doing business’.”
Appreciating the efforts of Sri City for creating job opportunities Mr. Kishan Reddy said,”Sri City being the home for manufacturing industries in various sectors, ranging from Metro coaches, automobiles, engineering products, FMCG, Food processing, air conditioners, electronics, Formulations, etc., created large scale employment in backward region and turned the barren land into a vibrant economic hub. It is very heartening to note that 50% of workforce is women. With its unique features, Sri city will certainly become a typical ‘case study’ at global level, and its implementation model has already become a reference case to emulate elsewhere in the country.”
“I am happy to note that Sri City region has significant potential for attracting eco and spiritual tourist groups due to its sustainable environmental practices. On behalf of my ministry I assure all support for any developmental schemes that contribute for employment generation.”
Stating that the minister’s visit is very valuable to Sri City fraternity, Mr. Ravindra Sannareddy said, “We are grateful to the honourable minister for visiting Sri City. His impression and positive feedback are very encouraging and will be a great source of inspiration.”
Mr. Kishan Reddy went round the Industrial hub, and visited the production unit of Blue Star, where he witnessed brisk work in progress and interacted with the employees.
