AP CII’s Learning Mission on Manufacturing Excellence to Sri City

Sri City, September 15, 2023 : A 25 member delegation of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CIl), Andhra Pradesh paid a two day visit to Sri City on a learning mission on manufacturing excellence, on Thursday & Friday. Mr. C. Ramesh Kumar, Vice President (Customer Relations), Sri City extended a warm welcome.

Welcoming the delegates, Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City introduced the uniqueness of Sri City and said that it emerged as one of the mega industrial parks in the country. He stated that Sri City has emerged as a global business gateway, aligning with ‘Make in India’, and added, ”It attracts investments from various sectors ranging from automobile, Engineering, Food Processing to Industrial Textile, and several multinational companies from Japan, Europe, the United States, and India set up their plants. This influx of global brands establishes Sri City as an Integrated Business City benchmark, drawing international attention due to its rapid expansion.

The objective of the mission was to provide participants with an opportunity for cross-learning and practical exposure with the best practises used by some of Sri City’s leading industries. Thermax, Danieli, Colgate-Palmolive, Kellogg’s and Blue Star hosted interactive sessions giving the delegates an overview of the technological strengths and manufacturing practices of the respective companies.

The delegation was led by Mr. Puushpit Garg, Vice Chairman, and Mr. P. Chandan Patnaik, Head, CII Tirupati Zone. Senior and middle level executives from CII member companies, representing cross-functional departments, drawn from AP, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Kerala composed the delegation. During the briefing session, they all evinced keen interest and quizzed on different aspects of Sri City. Later the delegation had a glimpse of the industrial zone.
