Sri City, January 23, 2018 – A 22 member delegation of Electronic Industries Association of India’s (ELCINA) 9th Source India Electronics Supply Chain visited Sri City on Tuesday. Mr. Satish Kamat, President (Operations), Sri City extended a warm welcome and briefed the delegates on the ease of doing business in Sri City highlighting the attractive incentives and subsidies being offered by Andhra Pradesh government under its Electronic policy, and the unique advantages of setting up units at the Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC).
Commenting on the visit Mr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City, said “The domestic demand for the Electronic Hardware has resulted in huge opportunity for India to become an Electronic Manufacturing hub after China. Sensing this opportunity, Sri City developed an EMC, and had tied up with ELCINA to enable its members and other electronics manufacturers to set up facilities here for addressing the domestic and export market.”
We consider Source India Electronics Supply Chain team’s visit ‘very important’. I am sure the visit might encourage them to invest here,” he added.
During the briefing session, they all evinced keen interest and quizzed on different aspects, particularly on the EMC. They all thanked Sri City management for permitting their visit and expressed satisfaction on the available infrastructure, industry-friendly ambiance and locational advantage.
ELCINA is the nodal agency for electronic manufacturers in India. It had launched ‘Source India’ to accelerate development of the electronics supply chain ecosystem in India. The intent of the visit was to have more insight about EMC in Sri City, assess its business potential and explore investment opportunities. They went round the industrial park and witnessed the bustling industrial activity. The members are key decision makers representing various electronic manufacturing units across the country.
The visit was organised by Andhra Pradesh Electronics & Information Technology Agency, (APEITA), an autonomous Society Under Government of Andhra Pradesh.
